Insurance Litigation Associate
Top Tier Reps is partnering with a premier AmLaw 100 firm to hire a skilled Insurance Litigation Associate for its Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group in California. This is a hybrid position open in the firm’s Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, or San Francisco/Oakland offices.
Only candidates with experience at an AmLaw 100 (or comparable AmLaw 200) firm will be considered. This is a strict requirement. Candidates must also demonstrate a stable resume and a track record of working on sophisticated, high-stakes litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the central point of contact for client communications and internal coordination
- Draft, format, and proofread litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery, and correspondence
- Maintain case files (physical and electronic) and oversee critical court dates and deadlines
- Prepare for court filings in State and Federal courts, including e-filings in accordance with court procedures
- Coordinate travel, manage calendars, schedule meetings, and support litigation logistics
- Assist with document production and e-discovery processes in collaboration with vendors
- Accurately manage time entries, billing codes, rate adjustments, and expense reports
- Provide high-level administrative and operational support across attorneys and practice groups
- Work overtime as needed to support time-sensitive legal work
Required Skills & Proficiencies
- Must have current or prior experience working in an AmLaw 100 or AmLaw 200 law firm
- Advanced understanding of State and Federal court filing systems and rules
- Proficiency in legal software and tools: Intapp Time, Chrome River, iManage, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and document comparison platforms
- Excellent command of grammar, legal formatting, and proofreading standards
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a high-pressure environment
- Team-focused with the ability to work independently when needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of litigation legal secretary experience in a large law firm environment
- AmLaw 100/200 firm experience required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Notary certification is a plus
