Our client is seeking a Director of Laboratory to oversee the activities and resources of the Laboratory Department. The Director will play a key role in ensuring that departmental and organizational objectives are met while maintaining high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.

Essential Functions:

Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards that align with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical objectives of the organization.
Manage and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Oversee staffing activities, including hiring, orientation, evaluations, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets, ensuring compliance with allocated funding.
Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
Foster an environment that supports professional growth and development.
Integrate evidence-based practices into departmental operations and clinical protocols.
Ensure the department’s ongoing role in the continuum of care.

Required Skills:

Strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and take appropriate actions.
Medical Technologist certification.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree (required).
Certifications: ASCP or equivalent (required).
