Patent Litigation Associate (Hybrid)
About the Opportunity:
Our client, a top-tier Am Law 100 firm, is actively seeking a Patent Litigation Associate with 3–6 years of experience and a strong academic background. This is an exciting opportunity to join a nationally recognized IP litigation practice, working on high-stakes matters involving cutting-edge technology and life sciences innovation.
Salary range: $260,000 to $390,000 a year
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in all stages of patent litigation, including:
Case strategy and management
Patent analysis and product review
Drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
Managing depositions and working with technical experts
Preparing for and attending Markman hearings, trials, and ITC proceedings
Collaborate with clients, technical teams, and other attorneys to develop effective litigation strategies.
Support senior attorneys with case preparation and day-to-day litigation tasks.
Qualifications:
J.D. or LL.M. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Licensed to practice in California, Massachusetts, New York, or Washington, D.C.
3 to 6 years of experience in patent litigation (law school class years 2018–2021 preferred).
Litigation experience in federal district court and/or before the ITC highly desirable.
Technical or scientific background in one of the following:
Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related life sciences discipline
Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and professionally with colleagues and clients.
