Our client is currently seeking an Associate with 2-4 years of relevant experience to bolster our State Attorneys General/FTC Practice in our Austin office. The ideal candidate will have a background in consumer protection and/or civil Medicaid fraud government investigations and litigation. While prior experience working for a state Attorney General (AG) or the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Bureau of Consumer Protection is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and draft documents related to consumer protection and civil Medicaid fraud investigations and litigation.
- Collaborate with multiple partners across the firm on various matters simultaneously.
- Maintain direct communication and interaction with partners, lobbyists, and clients.
- Contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative work environment with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Uphold an exceptional work ethic and demonstrate adaptability in a sophisticated national practice.
Requirements:
- JD from an ABA-approved law school.
- Good standing and active membership in the bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice.
- Timely admission to the Texas Bar will be a condition of employment.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
