We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Coordinator, Talent Acquisition & Development to join our esteemed Am Law 100 client's Washington, D.C. office. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both attorney recruiting and professional development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in campus recruiting, particularly within law firms or Big 4 environments, and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition:
- Coordinate campus recruiting events, including OCI, summer associate training programs, and social activities.
- Schedule interviews, manage candidate follow-ups, prepare hiring committee materials, and oversee onboarding for summer associates.
- Collaborate with lateral and staff recruiting teams to support the onboarding of new talent.
- Partner with global Talent Acquisition teams on firmwide initiatives and programs.
Talent Development:
- Coordinate local Talent Development Committee meetings, events, and attorney training programs.
- Implement firmwide directives, including coaching programs and training academies, in collaboration with global Talent Development teams.
- Support local performance management processes, including performance approvals, reporting, and meetings.
Talent Management:
- Assist with the onboarding and integration of all new attorney hires.
- Generate reports and provide recommendations for process improvements based on data analysis.
- Attend and support firm events, including occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
- Travel as required for programs and initiatives.
- Handle additional related projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, law school career services, attorney recruiting, or professional development (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional services or legal environment (required).
- Advanced proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Strong skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience coordinating training programs and events.
- Basic understanding of legal recruiting, attorney development practices, and professional development philosophies.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in campus recruiting and interfacing with law schools at law firms or handling campus recruiting at Big 4 firms.
- Ability to travel to law schools for On-Campus Interviewing.
