Location: Vernal, UT
Salary: $101,000 - $136,000, plus a $20,000 sign-on bonus
Type: On-site

Job Overview:
Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Director to lead their Medical Surgical and Intensive Care Unit teams. This role is pivotal in ensuring patient care excellence, overseeing nursing staff, and driving the successful implementation of departmental goals and initiatives. The Director will take on both operational and clinical leadership to maintain high standards of care in a cost-effective and compliant manner.

Core Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary leader for the Med/Surg and ICU nursing teams, ensuring clarity in roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
Develop and maintain a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient safety and quality outcomes.
Lead educational programs related to nursing competencies, infection control, staff health, and safety standards.
Ensure full compliance with state regulations and accreditation requirements from TJC and CMS.
Monitor infection control practices and ensure they meet or exceed all regulatory standards.
Oversee staffing decisions based on patient census, care needs, and skill mix.
Quickly address concerns raised by patients, families, staff, or physicians, taking corrective actions when needed.
Participate in utilization review processes and ensure appropriate care pathways are followed.

Qualifications:

Active Utah RN license
Proven nursing experience in Medical Surgical or ICU settings
At least 2 years of leadership experience
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
