We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineer to support the Adhesives & Sealants (A&S) Division across multiple manufacturing facilities. This position is based in Orlando, FL and reports to the Senior Director of Engineering – RPC North America.
The Engineer will lead high-impact capital projects, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and support plant engineering and maintenance operations. This is a hands-on role for a proactive problem-solver with strong technical knowledge and a passion for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage capital projects from initiation through completion, including budgeting, timelines, vendor management, and performance evaluation
- Collaborate with Plant Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to enhance equipment reliability and overall productivity
- Support and drive maintenance excellence initiatives across assigned sites
- Evaluate new technologies and lead vendor visits and selection processes
- Provide hands-on support for troubleshooting, process improvements, and equipment optimization
- Identify skill gaps within maintenance teams and participate in hiring and evaluation processes
- Maintain working knowledge of production equipment, systems, and internal engineering standards
- Travel 25%–50% to plant locations and provide support during extended hours or weekends as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Plastics Engineering preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the plastics industry (e.g., injection molding, profile extrusion)
- Expertise in injection mold processing and troubleshooting
- Strong technical proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, automation, and PLCs
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and project management tools
- Proven project management experience with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a dynamic environment
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive base salary: $116,000–$131,000
