Our client, a top 100 law firm, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal specializing in Structured Credit. This role will support the firm's structured finance practice by assisting attorneys with complex transactional work and ensuring that all documents and processes are managed efficiently. The successful candidate will need to understand the transactional lifecycle and possess knowledge of the complex procedures associated with structured finance deals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transactional Support & Document Management:
Assist in the coordination, organization, and interpretation of complex transaction documents. Ensure proper filing, organization, and distribution of documents throughout the lifecycle of structured finance transactions. - Diligence & Closing Materials:
Organize and maintain diligence materials, prepare signature pages, and assemble closing binders to ensure smooth transaction processing. - UCC & Corporate Document Handling:
File UCC financing statements, order and review UCC lien searches, and coordinate with external vendors to obtain necessary corporate documents. - Research & Database Management:
Conduct factual and legal research using internal and external databases. Maintain and update transactional databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records. - Collaboration & Process Improvement:
Collaborate with other departments within the firm to streamline processes and meet the evolving needs of the firm. Actively contribute to team efforts and improve department workflows. - Time Management & Reporting:
Efficiently manage tasks to meet billable hours targets of 1,725 annually. Ensure accurate timekeeping and expense reporting in accordance with firm guidelines. - Additional Duties:
Work overtime and travel as necessary. Manage additional related projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of paralegal experience, ideally in a structured credit or corporate/transactional setting.
- Familiarity with structured finance transactions and documentation.
- Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- An ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate is preferred but not required.
- Skills & Proficiencies:
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experienced in online legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Knowledgeable in transactional software tools like SimplyAgree and Litera.
- Comfortable with timekeeping and expense reporting applications.
- Other Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $69,000 - $85,000, plus bonus
