We are seeking a highly skilled Practice Manager to support the Investigations, White Collar, and Antitrust practice groups within a leading Am Law 100 firm based in Washington, DC. This role partners closely with practice leadership and cross-functional teams—including Finance, Talent, Business Development, Innovation, IT, and Communications—to drive strategic initiatives, oversee daily operations, and optimize attorney performance, resource allocation, client engagement, and profitability.

Serving as a trusted advisor and “chief of staff” to practice group leadership, the Practice Manager plays a critical role in delivering operational excellence and business insights that support growth and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with practice chairs and business teams to implement strategic plans aimed at growth, revenue enhancement, and reputation management.
  • Analyze financial performance, productivity, and timekeeper data to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Oversee attorney work allocation, staffing, onboarding, and coordinate professional development efforts alongside Talent Management.
  • Support client value initiatives and serve as a liaison with in-house legal operations to improve service delivery.
  • Manage daily operations including budgeting, meeting coordination, billing processes, matter management, and internal communications.
  • Drive innovation and process improvements through collaboration with cross-departmental teams to ensure operational efficiency and alignment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of practice management experience at an Am Law 100/200 or similar multi-office law firm.
  • Prior experience supporting Investigations, White Collar, or Antitrust practice groups strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; JD or MBA highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
