Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Business Litigation Trial Paralegal to join their team in Los Angeles. This role requires a highly organized professional with expertise in managing complex business litigation cases, supporting attorneys from pre-trial preparation through trial and post-trial activities.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, specifically in trial procedures and comprehensive case management. This position offers a hybrid schedule, with in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and an annual billing requirement of 1,550 hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full litigation support, from case inception through resolution.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analyze case law, statutes, and legal materials.
  • Organize and manage case files, pleadings, and discovery documents.
  • Draft and edit legal documents, including motions, briefs, and summaries.
  • Coordinate trial preparation, including witness interviews, exhibit preparation, and trial binders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during trials, managing exhibits, technology, and logistics.
  • Attend trials and hearings to provide on-site support for attorneys.
  • Handle post-trial activities such as drafting settlement agreements and organizing final case files.
  • Liaise with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ensure adherence to all legal procedures and court rules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.
  • At least 6 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a strong background in business litigation and trial support.
  • Proficiency in legal research and e-discovery software (e.g., Lexis, Relativity, CaseMap, TrialDirector).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours during trial periods.

Compensation and Benefits
