Key Responsibilities
- Manage single and multi-plaintiff litigation in federal and state courts, as well as arbitration proceedings
- Handle wage and hour matters, discrimination claims, and class or collective actions
- Draft and brief motions, including dispositive motions and pleadings
- Manage e-discovery (ESI) processes, including document review and production
- Support complex litigation from inception through resolution, including trial preparation
- Provide strategic counsel to clients on employment law compliance and risk management
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda to support litigation and advisory work
Qualifications
Required:
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- 1–5 years of experience (class years 2020–2024) in labor and employment law, preferably at a large law firm
- Member of the Florida Bar or willingness to become a member (note: Florida is not a waive-in state)
- Experience handling single and multi-plaintiff litigation, wage and hour matters, discrimination claims, or class/collective actions
- Strong skills in drafting, briefing, and managing e-discovery (ESI)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Stable employment history with a demonstrated commitment to excellence
Preferred:
- Prior experience at the Department of Labor, a U.S. Attorney’s Office, or a boutique firm (candidates with slightly over 5 years may be considered for a 5th-year salary level)
- Exceptional 2024 graduates with at least one year of relevant practice experience
- Familiarity with arbitration proceedings or employment law compliance counseling
Salary & Benefits
- Base Salary: $225,000 – $365,000 (based on class year, 2020–2024)
- Bonus: Performance-based annual bonus eligibility
- Work Setup: Hybrid (combination of in-office and remote work)
