Our client is seeking an associate with 3-5 years of renewable energy transactional experience to join the Finance Practice Group and Energy Sector in the following offices:
- Houston
- Los Angeles
- Madison
- Milwaukee
- New York
- Washington DC
Position Overview:
This is a full-time, non-partner track position supporting a Complex Project Finance Practice, with a focus on renewable energy transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience in renewable energy project finance, tax credit transactions, and due diligence across a range of renewable energy matters.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate complex transaction documents, including:
- Credit agreements
- Tax equity documents
- Review project documents and manage subject-matter specialist reviews
- Close transactions related to renewable energy projects
- Conduct due diligence on renewable energy transactions
- Support the strategic objectives of the Energy Sector
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of renewable energy transactional experience
- Experience in renewable energy project finance and/or tax credit transactions
- Significant experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements, tax equity documents, and other transactional documents
- Substantial experience with project documents and closing transactions
- Broad exposure to renewable energy due diligence matters
Required Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to succeed in complex, client-driven environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage transactions from start to finish
- Large law firm experience preferred
- A dynamic, motivated associate who is adaptable and able to thrive in challenging environments
Education & Bar Admission:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active member of the bar in the jurisdiction(s) where the candidate is admitted to practice
- Timely admission to the bar in the office of hire jurisdiction is a condition of employment
Compensation & Benefits:
- Expected salary range: $260,000 - $350,000 (based on experience and location)
