Our client is seeking an experienced Powerhouse Maintenance Technician to join their team at the Syracuse facility. In this critical role, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of steam boilers, air compressors, pressurized piping systems, and other related powerhouse equipment. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair steam boilers, air compressors, automatic boiler controls, and power generation equipment.
Perform chemical testing to ensure boiler water quality meets safety and operational standards.
Troubleshoot and repair analog/digital control systems.
Tear down and rebuild complex mechanical and electrical units to maintain equipment functionality.
Interpret and follow mechanical, electrical, and plumbing schematics.
Use pipe fitting tools to bend, thread, cut, and install piping for steam, water, oil, gas, and compressed air systems.
Maintain high-pressure steam systems throughout the facility, ensuring operational efficiency.
Enter and update schedules in the facility’s energy management system.

Required Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Powerhouse Technician experience.
Skills: Proficiency with schematics, blueprints, and system troubleshooting.
Technical Expertise: Experience with steam boilers, air compressors, and automatic boiler controls.
Location: Must reside within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY.
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience: 5+ years of full-time powerhouse or industrial maintenance experience.
Industry Background: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Salary: $70,761 annually (paid hourly at $34.02).
