Knowledge and Innovation Attorney(Litigation)
Top Tier Reps is representing an Am Law 100 client in their search for a Knowledge and Innovation Attorney (KIA) to support one to two of the firm’s litigation practice groups. This position is based in New York City and offers a hybrid work arrangement (three days in office).
The KIA will play a key role within the Practice Innovation & Legal Solutions Department, reporting directly to the Director of Knowledge and Innovation. The successful candidate will drive knowledge management and innovation efforts across assigned practice groups, supporting attorneys through improved access to legal knowledge, process enhancements, and technology adoption.

Responsibilities
Knowledge & Data Management
- Assess and address knowledge management needs for assigned litigation groups.
- Maintain matter/experience data using internal systems (e.g., Foundation).
- Draft and update model documents, templates, internal guides, and client materials.
- Contribute to and curate thought leadership and client-facing content.
- Support adoption and maintenance of the firm’s knowledge management platform.
- Track and communicate legal and market developments to attorneys.
- Deliver training and coordinate practice-specific programming in collaboration with Talent Development.
- Collaborate with attorneys and peers across practice groups to share best practices.
Technology & Innovation
- Identify workflow challenges and recommend legal technology solutions.
- Lead pilot programs and adoption efforts for new legal technology tools.
- Collaborate with legal tech and innovation teams to align with firmwide innovation strategy.
- Monitor legal industry trends and maintain vendor relationships.
- Contribute to the development of innovation-related policies and process improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active bar admission required.
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in a law firm (complex litigation, IP, or labor & employment preferred).
- Prior experience in legal knowledge management or innovation roles preferred.
- Deep understanding of litigation workflows, legal research, and drafting.
- Familiarity with legal tech tools and knowledge management systems.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication abilities with a collaborative, tech-forward mindset.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $205,000–$280,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus
