Senior Manager/Supervisor

We are seeking a seasoned People Services Director to lead our hospital's human resources operations and strategy. This individual will be responsible for driving organizational effectiveness, supporting talent management, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture. As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll help shape workforce strategies that align with our mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage HR operations for the hospital, including employee relations, staffing, onboarding, compliance, and performance management
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FMLA, Affirmative Action)
Partner with department leaders to support strategic workforce planning, training and development, and talent retention initiatives
Collaborate with corporate HR or system-wide resources to align policies, practices, and HRIS tools
Oversee employee engagement efforts, diversity and inclusion strategies, and workplace safety programs
Manage and mentor a team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of service and accountability
Contribute to budgeting, policy development, and organizational planning as part of the hospital’s executive leadership team

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree (in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field)
5+ years of human resources leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
Strong working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local HR regulations, including:
- Title VII of the Civil Rights Act
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
- Affirmative Action
Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and manage change in a fast-paced, regulated environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working within a multi-site healthcare system, including corporate HR collaboration
Candidates located in Tennessee or Alabama strongly preferred
Professional certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) a plus
