Senior Manager/Supervisor
We are seeking a seasoned People Services Director to lead our hospital's human resources operations and strategy. This individual will be responsible for driving organizational effectiveness, supporting talent management, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture. As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll help shape workforce strategies that align with our mission, vision, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage HR operations for the hospital, including employee relations, staffing, onboarding, compliance, and performance management
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FMLA, Affirmative Action)
- Partner with department leaders to support strategic workforce planning, training and development, and talent retention initiatives
- Collaborate with corporate HR or system-wide resources to align policies, practices, and HRIS tools
- Oversee employee engagement efforts, diversity and inclusion strategies, and workplace safety programs
- Manage and mentor a team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of service and accountability
- Contribute to budgeting, policy development, and organizational planning as part of the hospital’s executive leadership team
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree (in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field)
- 5+ years of human resources leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
- Strong working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local HR regulations, including:
- Title VII of the Civil Rights Act
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
- Affirmative Action
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and manage change in a fast-paced, regulated environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a multi-site healthcare system, including corporate HR collaboration
- Candidates located in Tennessee or Alabama strongly preferred
- Professional certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) a plus
