Litigation Associate

Our client, a highly respected mid-sized law firm, is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Irvine, California office. This is a unique opportunity for a driven litigator to contribute to sophisticated employment and business litigation matters, including wage and hour class actions, in a collegial and collaborative work environment.

This role is ideal for candidates with 2–5 years of litigation experience, particularly in employment or civil litigation defense. Hands-on opportunities for court appearances, motion practice, depositions, and trial support are a key part of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle discovery, law and motion work, pleadings, and legal research
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and manage case deadlines
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties
• Support trial preparation and strategy development
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and participate in team-based litigation efforts

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
• 2–5 years of relevant civil litigation experience (defense side preferred)
• Active member of the California State Bar
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated interest in employment litigation
• Local to Orange County preferred
• Big law experience is a plus
• Must have a stable work history; jumpy resumes will not be considered

Salary & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $165,000 – $195,000
• Performance-Based Bonus
