We are seeking highly motivated and skilled Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorneys to join our expanding legal team. This fully remote position is perfect for attorneys who desire the flexibility of working from home while contributing to a high-achieving, client-focused legal practice.
As a Workers’ Compensation Associate, you’ll independently manage your own caseload from inception through resolution, working closely with employers, third-party administrators, and insurance carriers to deliver top-tier legal results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of California workers’ compensation cases
- Conduct depositions of applicants, medical professionals, and vocational experts
- Draft pleadings, motions, and settlement documents
- Represent clients at hearings, status conferences, and trials before the WCAB
- Maintain effective communication with clients, claims professionals, and opposing counsel
- Conduct legal research and draft detailed correspondence and memoranda
- Collaborate with support staff and legal team to ensure timely, proactive case handling
- Ensure compliance with all billing guidelines and internal deadlines
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active and good standing member of the California State Bar
- Solid understanding of California workers’ compensation law
- Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
- Committed to ethical, client-centered representation
- Must reside in the state of California
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in workers’ compensation defense
- Familiarity with remote litigation tools and paperless practice
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment
