We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Services team at a leading regional hospital in Elko, NV. Our Emergency Department caters to a diverse patient population, ranging from neonates to geriatrics, providing a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Key Details:

Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts; flexibility required based on departmental needs
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5
Average Daily Census: Approximately 65 patients
Annual Patient Volume: Around 25,000
Team Composition: Typically 2–4 RNs per shift, collaborating closely with physicians

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments and triage patients upon arrival
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor and document patients' vital signs and symptoms
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Provide education and support to patients and their families
Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education:

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Experience:

Previous experience in critical care or emergency nursing preferred

Licensure & Certifications:

Current Nevada RN license required
Basic Life Support (BLS) – must be obtained within 14 days of hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – within 30 days of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – within 90 days of hire
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – within 6 months of hire
