We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Services team at a leading regional hospital in Elko, NV. Our Emergency Department caters to a diverse patient population, ranging from neonates to geriatrics, providing a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
Key Details:
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts; flexibility required based on departmental needs
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Average Daily Census: Approximately 65 patients
- Annual Patient Volume: Around 25,000
- Team Composition: Typically 2–4 RNs per shift, collaborating closely with physicians
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and triage patients upon arrival
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and document patients' vital signs and symptoms
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience:
- Previous experience in critical care or emergency nursing preferred
Licensure & Certifications:
- Current Nevada RN license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – must be obtained within 14 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – within 30 days of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – within 90 days of hire
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – within 6 months of hire
