Junior Associate (Employment Practices Group)
Our client's Employment Group is expanding and seeking a Junior Associate with at least 2 years of experience in employment law, encompassing both litigation and counseling.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 2 years in employment law, particularly in advising employers, including early and mid-stage start-ups, on a wide range of employment law issues.
- Proficient in wage/hour matters, terminations, reductions in force, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, and worker classification assessments.
- Experienced in preparing or reviewing employment agreements and policies, including offer letters, handbooks, compensation plans, and separation agreements.
- Strong litigation skills with experience in both single plaintiff and complex cases.
- Solid command of employment law, especially California state and local employment laws.
- Business-minded problem-solving skills.
- Strong academic background and California bar membership.
The Employment Group provides counseling and litigation services in areas such as:
- Employment discrimination
- Sexual harassment
- Wrongful termination
- Wage-hour issues
- Trade secrets/non-competition/unfair competition
- Workplace privacy
- Executive employment agreements
The team regularly advises employers and trains managers on personnel systems, policies, and practices.

Salary Range:
- $235,000 - $310,000
Actual base salary will depend on various factors, including qualifications, years of experience, education, certifications, professional licenses, and job location.
