Role Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Client Service Specialist with a background in litigation to provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys in their Employment Department. This role involves managing a variety of tasks to ensure effective support for both internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Provide robust administrative assistance, including finance and billing tasks, time and expense entry, and preparing client presentations.
- Calendar and Deadline Management: Manage attorneys' calendars, coordinate pending matters, and track deadlines with meticulous follow-through.
- Task Coordination: Delegate tasks and coordinate with Firm resources, such as Document Processing and Office Services.
- Document Preparation: Prepare complex legal documents, handle court filings, and apply legal expertise to practice tasks.
- Client Billing: Support billing processes by managing time entry, proofreading client bills, and handling expense reporting.
- Advanced Excel Utilization: Use advanced Excel skills for legal projects and administrative tasks.
- Document Formatting: Create, edit, and format tables of contents and tables of authorities in pleadings.
- Service Management: Oversee legal and administrative practices of attorneys, ensuring service levels meet client requirements.
- Overtime: Work additional hours as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
Proficiencies:
- Organizational Skills: Advanced organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills.
- Detail Orientation: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and document management systems.
- Billing Knowledge: Understanding of timekeeping, expense processing, and legal billing practices.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to meet deadlines and adhere to Firm policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation (preferred).
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $76,100 to $107,350 annually, based on experience and relevant factors.
