Commercial Litigation Associate
We’re hiring a Commercial Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join our nationally recognized law firm. This role will support our Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit in handling complex litigation cases from pre-filing to resolution. Ideal candidates are sharp, collaborative, and ready to take ownership of sophisticated litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support in all phases of commercial litigation
Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and discovery responses
Conduct legal research and factual investigations
Manage eDiscovery and document production (Relativity experience preferred)
Take and defend depositions
Attend and argue at mediations, hearings, and court proceedings
Communicate directly with clients and collaborate with firm teams
Utilize AI-powered research tools and contribute to process efficiency
- Participate in client development efforts and community engagement initiatives
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
3–5 years of post-law school commercial litigation experience
Licensed to practice in the relevant jurisdiction or able to obtain promptly
Background in employment-related litigation (preferred)
Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms and legal tech tools
Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
Demonstrated stability and career progression in prior legal roles
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and professional approach
Salary & Benefits
Base salary: $205,000 – $230,000 (based on location)
Bonus eligibility: Associate Performance Bonus + Client Development Bonus
25% billable hour cushion, with a 240-day guarantee (prorated after 120 days)

Additional Information
Preferred location is Kansas City, but we welcome applicants in key regional offices or via our virtual/remote platform
