Our client, a trusted institutional healthcare provider, is seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to lead mental health services in a correctional facility. This role is ideal for a dedicated clinician with strong leadership skills, passionate about making a meaningful impact in underserved environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct psychiatric care including evaluations, DSM diagnoses, and medication management.
- Supervise and collaborate with mental health staff to coordinate treatment plans and therapeutic programs.
- Lead administrative and operational functions including compliance, documentation, and reporting.
- Participate in crisis interventions, disciplinary cases, and civil commitment processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to federal and state regulations (HIPAA, NCCHC, ACA).
- Collaborate with legal, security, and administrative teams; support community and staff engagement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in psychiatry, psychology, or a related clinical discipline from an accredited institution.
- Active state license (or license eligibility) to practice psychiatry in Kansas.
- Minimum of 5 years clinical experience, including 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $275,000–$350,000 DOE
