We are seeking experienced and compassionate Radiology Technologists to join our inpatient imaging team. This full-time, night shift position is ideal for candidates who can work autonomously and thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiography (X-ray) examinations to support physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.
- Ensure compliance with all radiation safety procedures.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, obtain vital signs, and administer contrast agents when necessary.
- Accurately position patients and select appropriate imaging techniques.
- Monitor and enter patient data into imaging systems.
- Ensure the technical quality of all images produced.
- Conduct quality assurance testing on equipment.
- Support and assist with accreditation renewals (e.g., ACR).
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or incidents to department leadership.
- Participate in emergency call rotation and float to other units/locations as needed.
- Assist with patient registration, insurance verification, and point-of-service collections.
- Promote a safe, patient-centered care environment through adherence to clinical standards and procedures.
- Support personal and departmental growth through continuing education and cross-training in other imaging modalities.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current Texas Medical Board license (MRT) or temporary license required.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist with the ARRT (ARRT-R) required.
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support (BLS/ACLS) required.
- Minimum 1 year of radiologic technologist experience preferred, especially in independent/night shift roles.
- Ability to lift and assist patients in performing job duties safely and effectively.
