Radiology Technologist

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Radiology Technologists to join our inpatient imaging team. This full-time, night shift position is ideal for candidates who can work autonomously and thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiography (X-ray) examinations to support physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.
• Ensure compliance with all radiation safety procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, obtain vital signs, and administer contrast agents when necessary.
• Accurately position patients and select appropriate imaging techniques.
• Monitor and enter patient data into imaging systems.
• Ensure the technical quality of all images produced.
• Conduct quality assurance testing on equipment.
• Support and assist with accreditation renewals (e.g., ACR).
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or incidents to department leadership.
• Participate in emergency call rotation and float to other units/locations as needed.
• Assist with patient registration, insurance verification, and point-of-service collections.
• Promote a safe, patient-centered care environment through adherence to clinical standards and procedures.
• Support personal and departmental growth through continuing education and cross-training in other imaging modalities.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current Texas Medical Board license (MRT) or temporary license required.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist with the ARRT (ARRT-R) required.
• Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support (BLS/ACLS) required.
• Minimum 1 year of radiologic technologist experience preferred, especially in independent/night shift roles.
• Ability to lift and assist patients in performing job duties safely and effectively.
