The Market Director - Physician Services is responsible for overseeing the operational and strategic aspects of assigned provider practices. This role collaborates closely with the Senior Director and other facility leaders to implement strategies aimed at enhancing practice operations and fostering growth. The Market Director leads Practice Administrators and/or Practice Managers, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall healthcare goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to assigned physician practices, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives for practice growth and improvement.
- Oversee Practice Administrators and Managers, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue cycle management.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, staff, and stakeholders to promote a collaborative environment.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Master’s Degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years in physician practice management or a similar healthcare setting.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of successful team management and operational improvement.
Certifications:
- Preferred certifications include:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE)
- Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE)
