Our client is seeking a litigation attorney with 3-10 years of experience to join its Fidelity and Surety group in the Collin County, TX office. This group focuses on litigation in both state and federal courts, counseling, dispute resolution, and contract drafting and negotiation.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of the construction industry, whether practical or legal. While prior experience with construction disputes, mechanics’ liens, and/or preparing and negotiating construction contracts is beneficial, it is not required. The ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, team members, consultants, and clients is essential, as the group prides itself on its collegial environment and team mentality, offering a small firm feel with the resources and support of a large firm.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong references
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of the construction industry (practical or legal)
  • Currently licensed to practice law in the State of Texas
  • Prior experience with construction disputes, mechanics’ liens, and/or preparing and negotiating construction contracts (beneficial but not required)
