Sign-On Bonus & Relocation: $15,000 sign-on bonus in three equal payments, plus $9,200 relocation assistance
Job Summary
The Sonography Supervisor is responsible for overseeing staffing and daily operations within the Ultrasound Department. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards for quality imaging, equipment maintenance, and patient care while maintaining high standards across sonographers, radiologists, and physicists. The supervisor also plays a key role in training and mentoring staff, ensuring continuous professional development.
Essential Functions
- Manage daily operations of the Ultrasound Department within a Level I trauma center
- Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates for imaging quality, control, and assurance
- Conduct clinical procedures while supervising the training of students and sonographers
- Collaborate with the Radiology Manager on budget planning and long-term strategic initiatives
- Manage the operational budget to support departmental objectives
- Provide leadership and oversight of staffing, scheduling, and workflow efficiency
- Maintain flexibility in work hours to accommodate departmental needs, including being available by phone for off-hours support
- Participate in inspections and accreditation processes related to Sonography (ACR)
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Certification in Sonography (ARDMS)
- 5 years of progressive experience in sonography, including breast ultrasound experience
- Experience with accreditation and inspection processes related to Sonography (ACR)

- The Ultrasound Department operates 24/7, requiring a flexible schedule to meet staffing and operational needs
- Occasional remote work opportunities may be available based on department requirements
