Mental Health Therapist
Our client is seeking experienced Mental Health Therapists to join their behavioral health team within a correctional healthcare environment.
This role is focused on delivering high-quality psychological care to incarcerated individuals through clinical assessments, therapeutic interventions, and crisis management, all while promoting emotional stability and behavioral health.
Salary range: $110,000 to $130,000 a year
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and clinical assessments via interviews and record reviews.
Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Deliver therapeutic services including individual counseling and crisis intervention.
Accurately document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with facility policies.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive clinical information.
Apply evidence-based practices and psychological treatment methods.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and case management.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, including at least 2 years working in correctional, forensic, or high-risk populations.
Active and unrestricted LPC, LMFT, or LCSW license in the state of employment.
Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and documentation skills.
Ability to work in a secure, high-pressure environment while remaining calm and compassionate.
