We are seeking an experienced Admissions Director to lead and optimize the Patient Access department. This role is pivotal in enhancing hospital revenue, ensuring clean registration data, and streamlining the patient intake process. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of revenue cycle management, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Staff Management: Oversee and mentor a team of 25+ FTEs, including 1 Manager and 1 Supervisor, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Revenue Cycle Oversight: Manage charge reconciliation, error corrections, contract reviews, and denials management to ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement best practices for patient registration, auditing, and charge transfer to enhance operational efficiency.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines, and prepare regular performance reports for senior leadership.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to align admissions strategies with organizational goals, focusing on capacity management and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years in Patient Access/Admissions and hospital billing/collections within an acute care setting.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in a similar healthcare environment.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Revenue Cycle Executive (CRCE)
- Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM)
Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with Invision (Admissions) and Cerner (EMR) systems is highly desirable.
