Our client, a leading national law firm, is seeking a skilled Data Privacy Associate with 4 to 8 years of experience in consumer and employee privacy. This role presents a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team in the fast-evolving field of data privacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice on data privacy matters.
- Oversee data privacy compliance projects.
- Draft privacy policies, notices, and data protection agreements.
- Conduct data mapping and advise on consumer consent workflows.
- Address technical issues related to websites/apps and digital marketing, including cookies, pixels, targeted ads, global privacy controls, and dark patterns.
- Guide clients on data protection impact assessments and responses to data subject requests.
- Possess expertise in employee and consumer privacy laws and regulations at state, federal, and/or international levels.
- (Preferred) Experience in data breach and incident response, consumer privacy litigation, and regulatory enforcement actions.
- (Preferred) IAPP's Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) designation in at least one category.
Qualifications:
- 4 to 8 years of experience in consumer and employee privacy.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with the capability to work independently and as part of a team.
- (Preferred) Experience in employment law.
- Candidates should have a solid academic background and experience with a top boutique/mid-size law firm or an AmLaw 100/200 firm.
