Our client, a leading healthcare system in Hickory, NC, is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Post-Surgical Unit and Neuroscience Unit to oversee the 24/7 operations of these critical units. This leadership position reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and is responsible for managing nursing staff, optimizing patient care, ensuring compliance with medical standards, and maintaining operational and financial efficiency.
Salary: $110,000 - $137,000
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the Post-Surgical and Neuroscience Units, including the development and implementation of strategic goals, policies, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with medical standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in patient care.
Lead and manage nursing staff, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and fostering professional development.
Improve operational and financial efficiency while enhancing patient care processes and patient experience.
Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, ensuring high standards are met in all areas of responsibility.
Advocate for continuous quality improvement initiatives, participate in audits, and represent nursing units within professional and organizational committees.
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred); Master’s Degree strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 years of RN experience, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role
Proficiency in hospital operations and a demonstrated ability to lead nursing teams
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Required certifications: BLS; ACLS preferred
