Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join their team at The Heart Center. In this role, you'll work alongside pediatric critical care medicine physicians and hospitalists to deliver high-quality cardiac imaging services for patients with intensive care needs.

The position includes in-house and on-call coverage, requiring technical expertise, teamwork, and compassion.

Salary range: $90,000 to $135,000 a year

Position Overview

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will:

  • Perform pediatric echocardiograms using appropriate imaging techniques, ensuring clarity and diagnostic accuracy.

  • Accurately enter, monitor, and manage patient data within hospital systems.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and escalate patient care concerns as needed.

  • Perform quality assurance on imaging equipment and support accreditation processes.

  • Respond to emergencies, participate in on-call rotations, and report incidents appropriately.

  • Promote safety and uphold organizational policies and procedures.

  • Mentor, precept, and support less-experienced staff while contributing to a culture of continuous learning.

  • Assist with performance improvement and support overall department goals.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Cardiac Sonography, Radiologic Technology, or Sonography Technology (preferred).

Licenses/Certifications (Required):

  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support

  • One (1) of the following certifications:

    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) – Cardiovascular Credentialing International

    • Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) – Cardiovascular Credentialing International

    • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) – ARDMS

Experience/Skills:

  • Minimum 6 months of pediatric echocardiography experience (required)

  • Ability to safely lift and position patients with assistance.

  • Demonstrated commitment to innovation, collaboration, and compassionate care.

  • Experience serving as a preceptor or mentor is a plus.

  • Adherence to clinical, time, and supply management standards.
