We are seeking a skilled Renewable Energy Tax Credit Associate to join our client's Energy & Natural Resources business unit. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience with a focus on renewable energy tax credits and real estate incentives. This role involves advising developers, drafting and negotiating tax credit transfer agreements, and managing financings and mergers & acquisitions related to the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal counsel on renewable energy tax credits and real estate incentives.
  • Advise developers on structuring and financing renewable energy projects.
  • Draft and negotiate tax credit transfer agreements.
  • Handle legal aspects of financings and mergers & acquisitions in the renewable energy sector.
  • Collaborate with attorneys in the Energy & Natural Resources business unit.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 5–7 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Expertise in renewable energy tax credits and real estate incentives.
  • Experience advising developers and handling related legal agreements.
  • Strong academic credentials and a commitment to community involvement.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Exceptional judgment and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Active bar license in the state of the office applied to.

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $225,000 – $265,000 for Denver, Oakland, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC.
