Plant Accounting Manager

Top Tier Reps is seeking a hands-on and experienced Plant Accounting Manager to join the finance leadership team of a global manufacturing company in Lawton, OK.

This onsite position is ideal for candidates with a background in plant or manufacturing accounting, operational leadership, and a deep understanding of cost and inventory accounting.

As a Plant Accounting Manager, you’ll oversee all accounting operations at the facility, including financial reporting, SOX compliance, cost analysis, and inventory accuracy, while partnering closely with plant leadership to support strategic business goals.

Position Overview

In this key leadership role, you’ll manage the monthly financial close, enforce robust internal controls, lead cost-setting processes, and deliver meaningful insights to support the plant’s operational performance. You’ll also supervise and develop local finance team members to foster professional growth and ensure a strong finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly plant-level financial close processes in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies
• Oversee internal control systems aligned with SOX requirements and resolve any deficiencies
• Direct plant-level reporting, cost analysis, and support for special projects
• Manage the standard cost-setting process and ensure accuracy of material cost data
• Provide financial guidance to plant leadership to support operational and strategic decision-making
• Supervise and mentor finance team members, supporting talent development and succession planning
• Coordinate with corporate finance and cross-functional teams for timely, accurate financial reporting
• Lead annual physical inventory processes and ensure inventory integrity and accuracy

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX-compliant internal control frameworks
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred), Hyperion, and Microsoft Office tools
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
• Proven ability to influence change, improve processes, and support strategic initiatives through financial insights

Salary & Additional Information

• Salary: $110,000 – $155,000 (based on experience)
• Location: Onsite in Lawton, OK

• Relocation Assistance: Not offered — candidates must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to Lawton, OK independently
