Our client is seeking an attorney with at least 6 years of litigation experience to join the Litigation Department in their Tampa office as Special Counsel. This is a full-time, non-partner track position supporting our Complex Litigation Construction Practice. The attorney in this role will primarily handle multi-party litigation involving construction defect matters and must be confident in their autonomy.

Qualifications:

JD from an ABA-approved law school and active member in good standing of the Florida Bar
Strong oratory, research, and writing skills
Extensive courtroom or arbitration experience, including:
- Conducting discovery
- Drafting substantive dispositive motions
- Significant deposition experience
- Some trial or evidentiary hearing experience
Baseline knowledge of insurance risk transfer issues for property damage claims
Strong organizational and time management skills
Board Certification in Construction Law by the Florida Bar preferred
