Our client, a nationally recognized hospital system, is seeking a Senior Director of Adult Acute Services to lead their high-performing team. This full-time, onsite leadership role is responsible for the operational, financial, programmatic, and personnel management of the Adult Acute Service Line. Reporting to the Director of Care Management, this position ensures nursing excellence, operational efficiency, and alignment with strategic hospital initiative

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Lead day-to-day operations for Adult Acute Care Services, ensuring alignment with hospital-wide goals and initiatives.
  • Drive nursing excellence and ensure high standards of professional practice across care delivery models.
  • Collaborate with executive and clinical stakeholders to achieve strategic and performance outcomes.

Financial Oversight

  • Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and resource allocation efforts.
  • Identify and implement strategies for operational efficiencies and financial improvements.

Administrative Management

  • Direct acute care operations, including staffing, scheduling, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, policies, and procedures in accordance with legal and hospital standards.
  • Foster innovation and continuous improvement in patient safety and service quality.

Team & Talent Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing nursing and support teams.
  • Assess and support staff development and performance needs.
  • Build a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-focused workplace culture.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams, hospital administrators, and external stakeholders.
  • Represent Nursing Leadership on internal committees.
  • Promote transparent communication and data-driven decision-making across departments.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Active RN license (Montana or compact state).
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive nursing leadership experience (5+ years preferred).
  • Experience leading large clinical teams, managing complex budgets, and improving acute care performance.
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and strategic planning skills.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business.
  • Board certification in a relevant nursing specialty, patient safety, or clinical quality.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $116,000 – $145,000 annually.
  • Sign-On Bonus: Available.
