Employment Law Partner – PAGA Litigation
Full-Time | Hybrid or Remote
Salary Range: $230,000 – $300,000 annually + quarterly bonus opportunities
Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking an Employment Law Partner with 8+ years of experience, including substantial expertise in Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) litigation. This is a leadership role for a seasoned employment defense attorney ready to oversee complex cases, mentor legal teams, and drive strategic initiatives.
This role is available in the following California cities:
El Segundo, Fresno, Oakland, Ontario, Orange, Redding, Sacramento, San Diego, San Jose, and Westlake Village. Remote arrangements within California will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
PAGA Litigation & Strategy
Lead and manage complex PAGA and class action-style litigation
Oversee legal filings, hearings, and settlement negotiations
Manage discovery, including witness depositions and trial preparation
Develop and implement case strategies that balance risk and cost
Compliance & Client Advisory
Counsel clients on California labor laws and compliance issues
Provide guidance on wage & hour, classification, and break policies
Monitor legal developments and advise clients accordingly
Client Development
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Identify new business opportunities in employment law
Deliver presentations and client trainings on litigation and compliance topics
Leadership & Mentorship
Supervise junior attorneys and paralegals
Provide strategic input and review legal work product
Foster a collaborative and growth-focused team environment
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in employment defense litigation
Strong understanding of PAGA and class action litigation
Excellent writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
JD from an accredited law school
Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
Public entity defense experience is a plus
