Our client, an Am Law 100 firm, is hiring a Senior Counsel to join its Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation practice group. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of asbestos defense litigation experience and be ready to take on a strategic role in managing complex litigation matters. Key Responsibilities

Manage all phases of asbestos defense litigation, including depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
Develop legal strategies and collaborate closely with internal teams and clients
Argue motions and participate in court proceedings
Take and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses
Draft pleadings, discovery responses, legal memoranda, and motions
Ensure compliance with court deadlines and internal case milestones
Advise clients on litigation risks and resolution strategies

Required Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school
Active California Bar license
Must reside in California (remote work eligible for in-state candidates)
Minimum 10 years of asbestos litigation experience (defense side only)
Experience from a top national law firm or elite litigation group
Strong academic background and stable employment history
Excellent courtroom, advocacy, and legal writing skills
No freelance, temporary, or plaintiff-side backgrounds considered

💼 Salary & Benefits

Base Salary: $200,000 – $220,000 (DOE)
Bonus: Annual performance-based
