Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in this role adheres to Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing regulations and provides direct patient care across the healthcare continuum. Responsibilities include nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and care coordination for patients and families. The RN is accountable for clinical, educational, quality, and fiscal patient care outcomes according to established agency policies and standards.

Location: Onsite, Partial Relocation Possible

Salary: $70,000 - $160,000, Negotiable Sign-on

Reports to: Nurse Director

Schedule: 32 hours, Days

Essential Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Utilize nursing process for timely, safe, and patient-centered care.
  • Administer injections, disconnect pumps, triage calls, follow up with patients, and coordinate with providers and nursing staff.
  • Assess call urgency, provide appropriate recommendations, and offer health information.
  • Analyze assessment data for nursing diagnoses and facilitate access to healthcare.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team for quality assessment, managed care, and patient satisfaction.
  • Provide patient teaching, counseling, and medical recommendations.
  • Document patient interactions and follow-up actions in electronic health records.
  • Communicate additional patient care notes to physicians as needed.
  • Perform patient assessments, medication reconciliation, and document in medical records.
  • Conduct pre-visit review of patient information.
  • Evaluate patient progress and perform in-office procedures as ordered.
  • Conduct Nurse Only visits for specified patient needs.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse licensure in MA or ability to obtain reciprocity license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Bio/chemo certificate required within 1 month of hire.
  • ONS chemotherapy provider card within 60 days of hire, OCN preferred within 2 years.
  • Minimum 1 year experience, 2 years preferred in hematology/oncology.
  • Previous experience in hematology/oncology triage, surgical oncology, transplants, or amyloidosis preferred.
  • Proficiency in port access, peripheral IV insertion, and clinical assessment preferred.
  • Additional certifications may be required for certain practice areas.
